About ConverTool
Developed by a loudspeaker Systems Engineer, ConverTool was born from the need to simplify the repetitive & often tedious process of file conversion between various audio design platforms.
The logic behind this tool started years ago through the frustration at the hours wasted by manually copying venues across on the tour bus. It's now grown to a collection of utilities, with rigorous error checking and mathematical optimisations, to really effect a change to the system designers daily workflow.
The file processing logic is ever evolving as new edge-cases are encountered, and as new features are released by the manufacturers.

FAQs
Under the hood, ConverTool parses the file you upload, extracts all the various types of surface contained within, converts it to a common format, then exports this to the format you request.
To get started, simply Log In / Register, purchase credits, upload your file, choose your file export format, and see the download link for the converted file in your desired format in your account.
EASE Focus has some underlying restrictions, the biggest two being that a surface be at least 2m long, and it cannot exceed 45° in slant angle from horizontal. These restrictions make it impossible to export more complex geometries often found in other platforms to EASE Focus.
The Soundvision format used to be supported on ConverTool, however we have been asked to remove this ability from the website.
Purchasing credits is simple. Once you log in, click 'Top Up' to add credits to your account. On the payment window that is presented, you can choose to either just add one credit, or multiple credits. Credits are used to perform file conversions on ConverTool. Each conversion costs one credit.
One credit costs $2.00 - ($2.15 inc VAT).
The conversion time depends on the file size and the current server load. Typically, conversions are completed within 30 seconds. You'll see the download link available in your account as soon as your file is ready.
We take data security and privacy seriously. There are absolutely no analytics collected & no adverts. The only cookies used are to remember your login status, and to remember the session data.
Your account data is stored securely, with all security industry 'best practices' adhered to. We do not access or use your uploaded files for any purpose other than conversion, (unless you give us permission to troubleshoot a conversion issue) and the original source files are deleted from our servers after a set period.
If you encounter an error during conversion, please contact us at resonantiq [at] gmail.com with details of the issue, and we will do our best to resolve any problems as quickly as possible.
Please include the 'Conversion ID' detailed in your account (if you have one) to enable us to quickly locate your file.
